Media24 sponsors a special award at MOST

The MOST Awards, now in their ninth year, takes place on 14 September 2017 at Wanderers Club, Illovo in Johannesburg. The awards celebrate excellence in service delivery, knowledge and innovation in the media sector. Media24 has shown their support of this initiative by sponsoring the Shepherd Award.

“Media24’s news division has been a supporter of the MOST awards since the very start. We particularly value the initiative as it allows us to track the interaction our sales teams have with colleagues in media agencies. The MOST Awards research offers key insights into the performance of our sales teams and useful feedback that informs our marketing strategies. The award presentation allows us to network with the right industry people, sharing our successes and exploring innovative ways to keep improving,” says Ané Honiball, GM of Ads24.

The Shepherd Award acknowledges an individual who has contributed time, knowledge and expertise to improving the media industry. Past winners of the award are Paul Middleton and the late Gordon Patterson. Their track record in the media industry paints a picture of leadership, mentorship and innovation.

Ads24, in line with Media24’s goals, is dedicated to the growth and development of talent within the Media industry. We therefore strongly support individuals who so selflessly dedicate their time and knowledge to better our industry. We look forward to acknowledge and celebrate this year’s Shepherd award winner’s tenacity and passion for planting seeds and nurturing growth, “adds Ané Honiball.

The MOST Awards is based on independent, robust research conducted by Freshly Ground Insights (FGI) and provides the opportunity for media agencies and media owner sales teams to anonymously vote on the quality of the service delivery, knowledge and innovation of their counterparts based on a number of criteria. The industry recognises the significance of this accolade and the value of the in-depth insights that MOST Awards research reports provide in an increasingly competitive environment.

“When companies come on board to sponsor our initiative that is when we realise that our hard work is paying off and that we are heading in the right direction. The MOST Awards is a success thanks in large part to the continuous support of our sponsors,” says Sandra Gordon, founder of the MOST Awards and CEO of Wag the Dog Publishers.
