The Herald and Daily Dispatch transition to new domains

DispatchLIVE and HeraldLIVE have transitioned to their new homes at dailydispatch.co.za and theherald.co.za

[PRESS OFFICE] We are excited to announce that on Saturday, 25 January 2024, DispatchLIVE and HeraldLIVE will transition to their new homes at dailydispatch.co.za and theherald.co.za.

This strategic move reflects our commitment to enhancing our digital presence and serving our communities more effectively.

Both The Herald and Daily Dispatch have strong brand equity and a loyal following in their respective markets, deeply embedded in the hearts of their communities. The Daily Dispatch proudly celebrated its 150th anniversary three years ago, while The Herald will mark its 180th anniversary this coming May, making it South Africa’s oldest daily news source.

This change is not just a rebranding, it is a unified effort to deliver the best news from the Eastern Cape to our engaged digital audiences. To ensure that this transition is seamless for our readers and advertisers our previous domain will automatically redirect to the new URLs, ensuring we won’t miss a beat.

In the coming months, we will focus on redesigning and enhancing these platforms along with the underlying technology to further improve user experience. Our goal is to remain at the cutting edge of the future of news.

We appreciate your loyalty and continued support as we embark on this exciting new chapter together. Thank you for being an integral part of our journey.

Kind Regards,

ROCHELLE DE KOCK: The Herald Editor

CHERI-ANN JAMES: Daily Dispatch Editor
