Giselle Bastin has a BA from the University of Adelaide, and a PhD from Flinders University. She is an Associate Professor in English at Flinders University.

She researches the area of 'royalism', in particular biographies/biopics/histories about the British royal family. Bastin does regular media work (radio, television, print media) about the British royals. She also researches representations of the British aristocracy in literature and film.
