I completed my PhD in Australia in 2013, and was awarded the Chancellor's Medal for Outstanding PhD Thesis. I was then offered a three year Postdoctoral Fellowship by the University of Queensland. In 2016, I successfully applied for an Australian Research Council Grant, under the DECRA program. I have wide interests in African issues, including sustainable development, tourism development, social media, politics, poverty alleviation, and the African Diaspora. My current funded project investigates the ethics of trophy hunting in Africa and the impact of social media movements.
