Journalist, media trainer and media consultant, Raymond Joseph, will be talking to PR Net in Cape Town on Thursday. An old-style print journalist with 40-years’ experience , he has made the transition as a “digital immigrant” to the new world of social media and how to use them as business tools.
PR-Net founder, Brian Berkman, says the session with Joseph is part of the series in healing the rifts that exist between the media and the PR industry by sharing tools to help us up our game.
As a specialist news editor, Joseph has worked extensively in South and southern Africa as expert in “fixing” under-performing news rooms and news desks and publications’ content, while doing on-the-job training of editorial staff. He specialises in print start-ups and relaunches, as has been involved in the launch of several publications over the years.
He talks to PR-Net, the peer network for the communications industry, on Thursday, May 3 at The newly revamped Alphen Hotel, Constantia at 5.30pm. Bookings must be made at www.pr-net.co.za. R100 per person.
