Digital is the fastest growing media category in South Africa, and for the first time, the digital category at the Loeries has attracted more than 300 entries. Now News24, exclusively represented by The SpaceStation, has come on board as the sponsor of the Loeries Digital and Interactive Communication Category, underlining the growing significance of the online environment in brand communication.
Their sponsorship of the Loeries includes the creation and hosting of the loeries.24.com website for 10 days. This website will showcase companies who are leading the digital ad industry, carry content and opinion on which brands are the most innovative in their digital marketing and explore why online marketing is the more mature and cost-effective approach among increasingly budget-conscious marketers.
“News24 is really excited to be associated with the Loeries and to be able to both showcase and recognise local talent and the exceptional creative digital campaigns coming out of South Africa,” says Geoff Cohen, CEO of 24.com.
“As proven by this year’s record number of entries in the Digital and Interactive Communication category, advertising in the online medium has come of age in Africa,” says Gustav Goosen, CEO of The SpaceStation. “We welcome the recognition of digital in the prestigious Loeries mix and look forward to further growth year on year.”
