Briefly… Industry support for the ABF

The ABF will be presenting certificates to companies that have provided donations to the organisation at its AGM to be held on the 7 April at Draft FCB.

“Traditionally the ABF’s main income stream has been through annual corporate donations,” says Sharlene Vallance, fundraiser for the ABF. “Over the last year or so however it has been a really trying time and we have had to make do with no real administrative support for the ABF.

“More recently though we have been in contact with many companies in the industry asking for assistance and the response has been very encouraging.”

Most notably companies Troika Imagineering Works, Mortimer Harvey (Pty) Ltd, DSTV Media Sales, Red Cherry Media Holdings, Underline Advertising, YFM, HG80, Ogilvy Africa, Capricorn FM, Nu-venture Media, Stick, Joe Public, M&CSAATCHI ABEL and Mindshare have all pledged their support by paying their annual contributions.

“Corporate donations are the fall back that the ABF survives on,” says Vallance. “We are grateful for the generosity displayed by the industry so far but will continue to knock on doors this year to ask more companies in the industry to support their own.”
