It’s time to vote: MOST Awards 2015 survey is live

Carat South Africa has committed to sponsoring the MOST Media Owner Rising Star Award for the next two years.

The MOST Media Owner Rising Star Award recognises media owner professionals under 39. An expert panel of judges will select a winner from the nominees. In order to ensure that the highest standards are upheld the rules were tightened up last year and a person can only win the award once, the judges reserve the right not to present this award. Voters can nominate people that work within their own company, plus high achievers across the media agency and media owner sector.

The Media Owner Rising Star Award will go to an individual who has consistently displayed the following characteristics: excellent sales skills, open minded, innovative, confident, challenges the status quo, outspoken, decisive, takes the lead, involved in the industry, and developing a profile.

“Carat believes in Redefining Media and it is only apt that we sponsor the Media Owner Rising Star as they too will be redefining media.  We are delighted to be able to partner with the MOST Awards during this two year period,” says Celia Collins, managing director of Carat Johannesburg, South Africa.

Carat is the world’s leading independent media planning and buying specialist and the market-leader in digital and non-traditional media solutions. Owned by global advertising, media and digital group, Dentsu Inc, and listed on the Tokyo stock exchange, the Carat network has more than 6 700 people in 70 countries worldwide. Carat defined the sector when established as the world’s first media independent in 1968.

Today, advances in digital technology and changing consumer behaviour has created an era of unprecedented complexity and opportunity for advertisers. Media is now an ecosystem that includes bought, owned and earned communications. In this new era, Carat is redefining the role of a media agency. Their people understand how media can drive business value better than anyone else. They move beyond the provision of media savings and exploit the new era of media to deliver greater business value to their clients.

“We are proud to have Carat on board as a sponsor of this very important award. The Media Owner Rising Star must exhibit leadership, intelligence and innovation. In a nutshell, this person is destined to lead and transform the industry, and is driven, hard-working and a strategic thinker. The winner needs to be full of good ideas and consistently face up to challenges through innovation and passion,” says Sandra Gordon, founder of Wag the Dog Publishers and the MOST Awards.

Click here to vote or visit The Media Online and click on the MOST banner ad to complete the survey questionnaire. This could be your year, or your company’s year to stand out from the flock. It’s your chance to be heard.
