The Media will highlight and celebrate women across the media landscape who are influencing opinion, fighting for media freedom and shifting advertising spend.

We will use The Media Online and social media to call for nominations. Then our editorial board, with the support of other notable observers, will compile a list of the most influential and inspiring women of 2015. We expect nominations from across the social, economic and political landscape.

Women from government, NGO’s, media owners, media agencies and marketers who rise above the acceptable to uplift themselves and those around them.

Criteria will be carefully crafted and we expect the resultant read to be inspiring and probably surprising.

The Media and the Media Online will carry profiles of these women with commentary, and Twitter and Facebook will be used to increase our reach.

Ideas on who should be featured? Contact editor of The Media magazine, on Nikki@wagthedog.co.za
