The MOST Awards, now in its ninth year, is a much anticipated annual celebration of excellence in service delivery, knowledge and innovation in the media sector. The success and credibility of this initiative is due, in large part, to the continued support of its loyal sponsors. This year the winners will be announced on 14 September 2017 at The Wanderers Club in Illovo, Johannesburg and guests can expect a unique, bespoke experience hosted by innovative sponsors.

Kaya FM is sponsoring the MOST Awards for the second year and is now not only sponsoring a major Media Agency Award, but will host a pop-up Kaya FM Single Malt Whisky experience.

“We’ve always viewed advertising as a significant intervention in shifting society and the ability to do this through multi-platform environments, future proofs this responsibility which lies on both media owners and brands alike,” says Greg Maloka, MD of Kaya FM.

“As we celebrate our (Liberty Radio) Station of the Year accolade in 2017 with the industry and our listeners, we as Kaya FM will always stand by and support initiatives that speak to celebrating the industry’s excellence and vision to be world class, because this is what we strive for in our business,” says Brenda Modibane, business development and marketing manager at Kaya FM.

SPARK Media, the sales arm of the biggest local newspaper media house in the country, is sponsoring the Full Service Media Agency Award. This high profiles sales team has won the Overall Media Owner Award in the past as well as numerous awards in the newspaper category.

“As a relatively new, re-branded media owner (2 years old), SPARK Media has an important marketing job to do in the media industry. Partnering with MOST offers us the perfect opportunity to align ourselves with a relevant, prestigious event that attracts so many of the right audience (media people) in the correct ‘space’. In marketing speak, it’s a highly efficient platform to showcase our brand to so many media decision makers in an environment where our association with MOST leverages and elevates our brand,” says Gill Randall, joint CEO of SPARK Media.

Loyal sponsors of the MOST Awards ensure that the awards remain relevant and grow in gravitas each year:

  • Mediamark has been a valued stalwart sponsor for many years and is once again sponsoring the highly prized Media Agency Legend Award.
  • OMD is renewing its support of the Media Owner Digital Category for the second year.
  • Ebony+Ivory (E+I) is a much-appreciated MOST Awards partner and will be sponsoring either the Shepherd or the Bell Award, depending on nominations from the survey.

“The continued participation from our loyal sponsors makes the MOST Awards what it is, a highly respected benchmark that facilitates the maintenance of exceptional standards in our industry. The awards ceremony is a wonderful networking opportunity and celebration of the best-of-the-best in the media agency and media owner sectors,” says Sandra Gordon, founder of the MOST Awards and CEO of Wag the Dog Publishers.

A variety of sponsorship packages are still available. Sponsorship of specific awards can be packaged to include online advertising before, during and after the event plus fun, creative and enduring activations at the awards.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       For more information, or to sponsor the MOST Awards 2017, please contact Sandra or Michelle on 011 447 7740, sgordon@stonesoup.co.za or michelle@wagthedog.co.za
