Briefly… APEX Awards jury announced

The Association for Communication and Advertising (ACA) announced its judging panel for the 2013 APEX awards. The panel, chaired by advertising and communications guru Andy Rice, includes captains of industry from representing the strategy, creative, marketing, agency, research and media disciplines within communications profession.

“The business of advertising and communications is as much as science as it is an art. Winners of an APEX are recognised for having succeeded in developing a creative solution from insightful strategic thinking which has had a direct and measurable impact on the bottom line of the client’s business.  Furthermore, the higher purpose of the APEX awards is to build more collaborative relationships between agencies and their clients hence an APEX represents more than just an award – it lends credibility to the business of advertising and communications,” says Odette van der Haar, CEO of the ACA.

Given the nature of the awards programme and its extremely stringent adjudication process, an expert jury is required.  Once again, the cream of the South African advertising and communications sector was been solicited for the 2013 jury – they are:

The deadline for APEX submissions is 4 March 2013. The cost per entry is R1 650 excluding VAT.  A deadline extension to 15 March 2013 may be applied for however a penalty fee of R900 excluding VAT, over and above the entry fee will be levied for each entry received after 4 March 2013.  The APEX Awards is only open for entry by ACA member agencies and their clients.  For more information about the awards programme, entry forms and rules, submission guidelines, tips on how to compile a winning entry, case studies of previous APEX winners and so much more, visit www.acasa.co.za
