It’s time for an OOH, and an OH!

There are just over six weeks to go before entries close for the OH! Awards 2010.  The OH! Awards 2010 has a new look, an all-new awards ceremony with a revised programme, a new logo, revised categories and a new name.

The awards, an initiative of Out of Home Media South Africa (OHMSA), recognise excellence in out of home (OOH) advertising, and invite entries from any OOH media owner, creative agency, media agency or marketer in the following categories. All submissions must have been flighted and paid for during 2010, and publicly displayed on an accredited outdoor platform.

In addition, the OH! Awards 2010 will recognise the best advertising campaign that has used multiple OOH media options to achieve the marketing objectives for the brand/product. The winning creative agency will be the first recipient of the OH! Awards 2010 WOW! Campaign of the Year.

This year, judges will be looking at billboards; walls, murals and wraps; internally illuminated billboards [static]; Digital billboards [moving]; airport advertising; street furniture; mobile media and ambient media.

How to enter:

  1. Visit www.ohmsa.co.za and download the entry form.
  2. Deliver the entry form together with a high resolution site picture on CD to Christelle Mostert c/o OHMSA, Block A, Somerset House, 11 York Street, Randburg (tel 011 781 9367).
  3. Any video productions should be supplied in MOV file, 720×576 screen resolution, 25FPS, and MPEG-4/H.264 codec.  The size may not exceed 100MB and may not be longer than 3 minutes in length.  JPEG’s are to be high resolution and must show the creative in situ.
  4. Entries close 31st March 2011.

The awards ceremony will take place on 19th May 2011 at the Fairway Hotel & Spa, and tickets will be available from 02 February 2011  – watch the web site for details (www.ohmsa.co.za
