Coca-Cola has invested with Mxit for a social media drive to feature the 2013 Crazy for Good campaign. Realising the value of the Mxit user’s relationship with social networking, Coca-Cola achieved not only notable success but established a massive social media following for advertising and engaging one-on-one with consumers into the future.
The globally integrated Crazy for Good initiative is designed to encourage acts of kindness around the world, featuring champions of happiness from London, Cape Town and Buenos Aires. Channelled through The Media Shop, the Crazy for Good campaign engaged Mxit advertising platforms namely a Crazy for Good App, splash screens, banners and tradeposts.
“The global trend towards digital marketing is something Coca-Cola identified a while ago. With Mxit’s 6.5 million active South African users, Coca-Cola’s progression to one of Africa’s largest social networks was a natural one,” says Andrew Kramer, head of sales at Mxit.
