Bringing home the Bushmills distllery
A global competition, launched by Bushmills on Patrick’s Day, will see the winners have the famous Irish distillery visit their country – and South Africa is one of eleven countries taking part. Colum Egan, the distiller, is offering two friends the chance to work alongside him for two weeks, to learn the skills of whiskey-making that have been alive and well in the Bushmills area for over 400 years, after which Colum will pack up the best bits of the Old Bushmills Distillery to go on tour. Destination? The winners’ home country.
“We’re going to bring two friends here, give them behind-the-scenes access to the distillery, £5 000 spending money, luxury penthouse accommodation and the chance to make their own unique blend of BUSHMILLS Irish Whiskey,” Egan said. “Then we’re going to take the distillery on tour, when we pack up some of the equipment, people and whiskey that make our distillery the home of the world’s Best Irish Whiskey, and bring them to the winner’s home country for the ultimate BUSHMILLS party, where the winners and their friends will be the guests of honour.”
To stand a chance of winning enter via the Bushmills South Africa Facebook page – Facebook.com/bushmillssouthafrica – and the selected country finalist will be flown with a friend to the Bushmills Distillery in Northern Ireland for the final stage of the competition – Bushcamp.

Activated Kinder Joy brings magic to families
Primedia Unlimited’s shopping mall activation specialist, Mall Active, has been appointed as the agency of choice in increasing the brand awareness of the Italian children’s chocolate eggs, Kinder Joy. A fully interactive, custom designed “Kinder City for Kids” was developed by Mall Active for the activation, boasting exciting interactive areas for children of all ages to enjoy themselves and to encourage interaction with the brand.
The stand consisted of four areas which featured various activities for the children including colouring in, toy building and interactive video games. The centre piece of the stand was a 2m high rotating egg with backlit logo, branded facia with backlights and quaint white picket fence framing the stand.Controlled access to the stand ensured that the enthusiastic children couldn’t venture out of the play area and that the kiddies explored and played in safety.
