The largest cards and payments event in Africa, Cards Africa 2012, is opening today. The exhibition will expose potential clients to case studies and insights about how smart card technology can improve business. “PocketMedia® Solutions – at C9 – has numerous communication applications that marketers and advertisers can use to communicate about these technologies to their clients,” says John Davis, the MD of PocketMedia® Solutions.
He says that with the long-lasting effects of the recession still in play, more and more retailers are turning to loyalty schemes to try and keep their existing customers and capture the attention of potential consumers. “Marketers know that loyalty programmes are crucial during tough economic times and the escalation in these schemes, that the market has witnessed over the past two years, is evidence of this,” he says.
Davis says using new and emerging digital technology to engage consumers like a QR Code, which can be printed on one of its variety of PocketMedia® applications – from the world-renowned Z-CARD® to a Starfold, UFO or even a bottle hang – which enable the tracking of marketing activity for better return on investment.
Cards and Payments Africa exhibition to be held from 12 – 15 March at the Sandton Convention Centre.
