Kaelo – Stories of Hope, the largest Corporate Social Investment (CSI) multimedia platform in Africa, is going to air on e.tv for its seventh season this July. The mulitmedia platform showcases the good work companies, communities, NGOs and the public sector are doing in social development in South Africa.
“We are seeing a growing trend amongst corporates actively committing marketing budgets to support their CSI spend. Talking about your social investment not only builds company’s reputation but also boosts the cause’s brand and this can lead to further mobilisation of funds,” says Sarah Campbell, MD of Kaelo Engage, the producers of Kaelo-Stories of Hope.
With an integrated multi-media approach (includes the TV series, a printed book, publicity and online and social media engagement) the Kaelo-Stories of Hope package delivers excellent value for money for corporates who want to give their projects awareness and connect and engage with their consumers, audiences and employees.
“Telkom Foundation and BHP Billiton have all signed up as headline sponsors for this as well as number of other blue chips including Standard Bank,” says Campbell. This year the platform is also expanding to include a series of networking dialogues to allow public, private and civil society to engage and share lessons or thinking around marketing of CSI.
