The closing date for Think Afrikaans has been extended until Monday, 27 August. This year’s theme is ‘Celebrate your heritage’ and the Afrikaans heritage ties in precisely with the language that has been around for about 100 years.
The Think Afrikaans Design Competition was presented creatively with the use of Ouma Rusk boxes that have been specifically fashioned for the campaign. At the briefing, each creative representative received a uniquely branded box, a replica of the South African heritage brand, with a t-shirts branded with Ouma Rusks and Cerebos Salt logos.
“The extended deadline now gives all those creative minds in the South African advertising and media industry more time to conceptualise their entry,” says Linda Gibson, CEO of Ads24.

First, second and third place winners will be announced at the Pendoring Awards on 21 September in Cape Town.
