Spotong — SA’s best taverns trade magazine — has announced that it is now registered with the Audit Bureau of Circulations of South Africa (ABC). The magazine, which is currently compiling its fourth issue, has weighed in at a respectable 8 540 copies, on a quarterly basis.
“We are thrilled that Spotong our newest baby in the Contact Media & Communications stable has been recognised by ABC,” said publisher Donna Verrydt. “In the magazine world, a title’s true value to advertisers and agencies alike, is reflected in its ABC certified circulation figures. We are excited that we have been recognised and that now the success of the magazine can continue to grow and our expansion plans can be developed.”
Spotong is currently distributed directly to taverns and shebeens throughout Gauteng, with plans to expand countrywide later in 2013.
In terms of content, the magazine prides itself on offering traders in the liquor and hospitality industry, valuable, comprehensive and informative content that can not only educate them of developments and changes in their industry but that can also guide them into better business practices all around.
