AMASA’s fund raising activities include its annual golf day and industry party, attended by roughly 1 200 people. The annual party, while a cause for a celebration and time for hard working individuals to let their hair down, has a complementary purpose.AMASA asks every attending company to donate gifts in the form of children’s toys which are delivered to the Little Switzerland Children’s Home in time for Christmas each year.
Golf Day
This year’s annual AMASA Golf Day, themed ‘Superheroes’ was held at Parkview golf club on the 9th May.
“The annual AMASA Golf Day is our second biggest income generator after the annual party,” says Paul Clarke who heads this portfolio.
“It’s a long standing event on the advertising media social calendar, so much so that for the last two years the event, which was held at Parkview Golf Club in early May, has been over-subscribed well in advance.”
“Media owners and agency personnel alike see the golf day as an opportunity to catch up with friends and colleagues and to generally network in a fun and relaxed atmosphere while generating income for a worthy cause,” he says.
