Loot.co.za is sponsoring the 17th annual Sporting Chance Inter Media Cricket Challenge this weekend. The Inter Media Cricket Challenge is a specially adapted six-a-side cricket tournament featuring 10 teams from various media organisations, with six players per team. The challenge creates an exciting atmosphere where journalists, presenters and DJs can take their professional rivalry onto the cricket field in good spirit and enjoy a day of friendly competition.
The event will be hosted at the Bellville Cricket Club on Sunday 16 March 2014 and will see five teams compete in two pools in a round-robin tournament format. Each match consists of five overs per side and the winners in their respective pool will then battle it out in the final match.
“We are excited to be part of this opportunity to help make a difference through a healthy and fun-filled event, and providing talented sports men and women with the platform, support and guidance to thrive both on and off the sports field,” says CEO, Gary Hadfield.
Every run, wicket and catch will denote a specific monetary value that Loot.co.za will donate towards the Sporting Chance Development Foundation. The funds raised will assist with the Sporting Chance Development Foundation’s Talent ID Bursary Scheme, which provides bursary opportunities to talented young sportsmen and women.
