The Advertising Benevolent Fund (ABF) is hosting its annual formal President’s Cup golf day on the 20 May at Wanderer’s Golf Club. Brendan Seery, the executive editor of The Star and media and marketing Editor for Independent Newspapers, has agreed to be the emcee for the event.
“This is the more formal of the two golf days that the ABF hosts each year and sees many advertising agencies and media owners participating,” says the ABF’s Sharlene Vallance. “We have kept the price for the fourballs the same as last year – R2 800 will cover green fees and dinner. We have already had a great response to the event and fourball bookings are streaming in, but we still have a few available. This year we are also selling hole sponsorships for R1000 each.”
FaceFirst Media has agreed to be the shirt sponsor for this event and NAB (Newspaper Advertising Bureau) is sponsoring Halfway House.
“On behalf of the ABF I express our thanks to FaceFirst Media and we encourage teams to wear their shirts on the day,” says Vallance. “Our thanks also go to NAB for their sponsorship and to Brendan Seery for giving his time to emcee our event, we look forward to having him at this year’s President Cup.”
