The website for Cape Town’s Table Mountain Aerial Cableway (TMAC) has received a revamp, and now offers all the information necessary for visitors to Table Mountain in an informative and accessible way that does justice to this beautiful site. The website, which can be viewed at www.tablemountain.net, was redesigned by Flow Communications.
The nine-week project involved a number of Flow’s team members from both its Cape Town and Johannesburg offices, who worked in close consultation with TMAC. Leanne Pohlmann, who managed the project, says that they considered a number of key factors ahead of the upgrade.”I’m feeling proud of our achievement in showcasing this popular and beautiful attraction in a slick and modern website,” says Leanne. “The information architecture was carefully considered in the design phase to ensure that the most important and relevant information is easy to access.”
The site gives visitors all the information they need to plan their essential trip up the mountain, from the latest weather reports to online ticket bookings. Visitors can also interact through the site’s wide range of social media platforms.
TMAC’s managing director, Sabine Lehmann says, “Our website needed a complete refresh. We needed to make the information more accessible and easier to search for, and have a greater focus on showcasing some of the beautiful images that we have of the area. I am very pleased with the result – it’s crisp and fresh and makes me want to leave my desk and get to the top station.”
