Lindsey Blumell is a journalism lecturer at City University London. She is originally from Canada, but has also studied and worked in the US, China, Hong Kong, Denmark, Sweden, and now the UK. She has worked in radio and television as a reporter and producer. Most recently, she co-produced a documentary called Good Girls Don't Tell, which features the stories of women who have survived college campus sexual assault. She has an LL.M in human rights and specialises in how human rights are portrayed in news coverage - both in traditional and online media. She is currently focusing on the representation of gender in news, and especially how sexual violence against women is portrayed.
