Robin Ireland has, since 2017, been undertaking research at the University of Glasgow for his PhD entitled: 'Commercial Determinants of Health in Sport. The example of the English Premier League'. He researches how sport is used by transnational corporations to promote gambling, alcohol and unhealthy food and drink.
Christopher Bunn Chris is a lecturer in sociology at the University of Glasgow and a Senior Researcher at the Malawian Epidemiology and Intervention Research Unit. His research interests include the sociologies of long-term health conditions, gambling, commercial determinants of health, civil society and religion.
