When it comes to mobile, Ryan Gandalf van Jaarsveld’s got the passion, the drive and years of experience in the industry under his belt. He cut his teeth in companies like Wizzit bank (SA’s first mobile bank), and Cellsmart, before venturing out on his own, snatching up clients like Channel Life. Three years later after launching a company called MobiMedia and seeing the potential of mobile, Ryan decided to launch the mobile-only ad agency, 7Dffrnt Knds of Smke with creative, Neil Clarence. He knew the potential – now he had to show the world what could happen when technical know-how met with creative genius. And with clients like Cell C and Tropika, amongst others, he’d done just that.
