Smart science magazine HIP2B2 has won Best Customer Magazine at the Media24 Magazine Excellence Awards, for the second time in three years.

“HIP2B² magazine is currently read by over one million learners annually, with over 4 000 high schools across the country receiving quarterly copies,” said HIP2B² GM, Cathryn Treasure. ”In fact, it has the highest certified reach of any magazine to the South African youth market.”
HIP2B² was founded to promote the study of maths, science and technology-related subjects as a means to developing entrepreneurial skills. The magazine interconnects with the brand’s other touch points, which include a website, mobisite, online radio station, social media, e-mail newsletter, annual nationwide iTHINK Challenge and a powerful peer-to-peer brand ambassador programme.
According to HIP2B² editor Janna Joseph of New Media, the team couldn’t think of a better way to end the school year than with an issue that made readers LOL, hence the Humour edition.
“They say happiness is the best medicine, but laughter can also be the mother of invention,” says Joseph. “We’ve put together an issue of smart humour, packed with gags, quirks, and fascinating facts that are bound to get our readers thinking about the world’s funny side.
