Avusa Media, the prize sponsor of the Newspaper Category at the 34th Annual Loerie Awards, is celebrating creativity by hosting the first online gallery of all print advertisement entries received for this prestigious award. The entries, which can be viewed on www.pushprint.co.za, are the inspirational work of some of South Africa’s most creative brands and agencies.
The copywriter and creative director team claiming the Loerie for the winning advertisement in the Avusa Media Newspaper category will also each win a trip to the New York International Advertising Festival in 2013.
“The visual messages in print media are quickly absorbed by the senses, with few mediums offering the same level of accessibility to the man on the street. Whether it’s reading a newspaper at home, at work, or on the train, newspapers go anywhere and everywhere, carrying some of the most thought-provoking and inspirational advertisements inside. We’d like to celebrate the creative minds behind all that work,” says Natalie Stephan, head of trade marketing and CRM for Avusa Media.
