Tonight is the night: 12-12-12. And tonight, FOX International Channels will broadcast what is being punted as the most widely distributed live musical event EVER. Over two billion people will tune into the concert in aid of Hurricane Sandy’s victims via television, radio and the internet.
In South Africa, viewers can watch the 12-12-12 concert on National Geographic Channel (DStv Channel 181) on the 13 December at 18:00 CAT and the 14 December on Fox (TopTV channel 180) at 20:15. This will bring the show to a host of global audiences available to the broadcaster in the bid to help raise awareness of the plight of Hurricane Sandy victims.
The concert, presented by Chase, will be available to all 114 million television households in the US and to more than 400 million television households outside the country via networks and feeds in North and South America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia.
Further elevating this event to its historic levels of distribution is live streaming on the largest online video services in the world, including YouTube, AOL, Yahoo, Hulu, and others. Combined, these video streaming services reach over 1.4 billion monthly unique users worldwide.
The Rolling Stones have joined an historic all-star line-up that already included iconic performers Bon Jovi, Eric Clapton, Dave Grohl, Billy Joel, Alicia Keys, Chris Martin, Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, Roger Waters, Eddie Vedder, Kanye West, The Who and Paul McCartney. A new list of celebrity presenters was also released, including Steve Buscemi, Jessica Chastain, Chelsea Clinton, Sean Combs, Billy Crystal, Leo DiCaprio, Jimmy Fallon, Jake Gyllenhaal, Karlie Kloss, Seth Meyers, Bobby Moynihan, Chris Rock, Adam Sandler, Susan Sarandon, Jon Stewart, Kristen Stewart, Quentin Tarantino, and Brian Williams.
