The June issue of Men’s Health is the 200th issue of South Africa’s best-selling men’s magazine, and takes a look back at the history of the magazine and how South African men have changed over the years.
Since Issue #1 in May 1997, Men’s Health’s secret sauce has been tons of useful stuff, says Men’s Health editor, Jason Brown. “That’s the core of what has made Men’s Health the largest men’s magazine brand in the world,” he says.
In this special issue, the useful stuff includes advice on how to get rich with money-making secrets, wise up to new rules of manhood, boost your sex life, build your best body like cover guy Dale Horne, feast yourself fit on the top superfoods for men and turn heads with simple style upgrades.
Aside from stack of indispensable guy wisdom, the magazine takes a look back at some of the Men’s Health covers from the past 17 years with local heroes, athletes, models, movie stars, power couples and guys-next-door; men “who live the brand and reflect the values and energy of Men’s Health”, says Brown. Some of the well-known names include Max Mmethi, Ryk Neethling, AB de Villiers, Siya Kolisi and international stars such as Mark Walhbergh and the late Paul Walker.
