Advocate Thuli Madonsela has been nominated to receive the PRISA President’s Award in recognition of her public relations value for our country and the profession, and most of all for her activism demonstrated through her actions. She was recently listed by TIME magazine as one of the world’s 100 most influential people.
The presentation of this award will take place at the PRISA national conference being held at Emperors Palace Hotel in Kempton Park on 9 June. PRISA President, Mr Solly Moeng, will present the award and Madonsela will address delegates on the impact the work of the Public Protector’s office has on South Africa’s reputation.
Relevant industry related topics will be addressed over the two days of the conference. These topics will focus on global conversations encompassing reputation, ethics, legalities of social media and personal information, content marketing, research, stakeholder engagement, best practice and integrated reporting.
Members are encouraged to attend the PRISA AGM on Monday evening and contribute to, and influence the future direction of their professional body. They’re invited to join the PRISA board for cocktails immediately after the meeting.
