The Sunday World newspaper is launching two elements this weekend. The first is the ‘Shopping Trolley that gives readers a weekly “short cut” to helping them make informed food choices.
And the food pages have been revamped to deliver how-to cooking guides and step by step recipes to help readers tackle dishes from all occasions and all cultures. It is edited by features editor, Babalwa Shota and will run on a bi-weekly basis (the next is on Sunday).
“It is one of the valuable additions that will give our readers more information to make their lives easier,” says editor Abdul Milazi.
Shopping Trolley will check out prices and goods at four major retailers: Pick n Pay, Checkers, Woolworths and Spar, and give consumers comparative costs.
“We believe this will be a valuable service as we take the pain out of shopping for our readers by doing the price check for them. This is the first of some elements we have in the pipeline to help our readers further enrich their lives,” says Milazi.
