The Broadcast Research Council of South Africa (the BRC) is a non-profit, industry body that has been incorporated to cater to the audience research needs of the radio and television industry in South Africa.
The founding principles of the company are to perform as an independent entity created for the purposes of establishing a Joint Industry Committee (JIC); commissioning and overseeing the delivery of identified broadcast industry research for the benefit of the members, including any required industry audience currency research; and assisting our members in their continued support of advertising self-regulation in South Africa through the existence of the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA).
