The Global Advertising Lawyers Alliance (GALA) has announced it has released a video series on complying with advertising laws around the world. Intended for both marketers and their counsel, the series provides an overview of the laws governing advertising and marketing in more than 40 countries – from Argentina to Zimbabwe. The videos are available, for free, on GALA’s YouTube channel here.
“Global advertising law compliance can be a challenge for marketers,” said Jeffrey A. Greenbaum, GALA’s chairman, and managing partner of Frankfurt Kurnit Klein & Selz in New York. “This video series – which we believe is the first of its kind — should help give marketers a head start in developing campaigns that comply with all of the different laws and regulations around the world.”
Each country’s video features a short presentation by a leading advertising lawyer in that country, who gives an introduction to the basic rules that govern marketing there. The GALA video series covers South Africa too.
GALA’s video series follows the launch of GALA’s two volume series on advertising law, Advertising Law: A Global Legal Perspective, which provides an overview of the laws governing advertising and marketing in 55 countries. The book is available on Amazon.
