Anyone who has not seen comedian Jason Goliath doing what he does best, will be in for a treat on 9 September when he will act as MC at the MOST Awards ceremony to be held at the Linder Auditorium, Parktown, Johannesburg.
Jason is larger than life and one of SA’s funniest men and is well known to the media industry having been featured in a number of large ad campaigns including Castle Lager, First for Women and Wimpy. He has been known to make people laugh so hard that they fall off their seats. Watch this video of him wrangling a Kreepy Krawley and know that you just have to be there to see him.
But even before Goliath hits the stage, the evening will be kicked off to a brilliant start with a welcome drink, courtesy of Media24.
And when the last award has been presented and the whoops and cheers have died down, guests will be able to schmooze with the winners and their friends in the chill area and party to the MOST awesome music, courtesy of the SABC.
But perhaps the cherry on the icing of this pre-eminent event for the media industry, is that fact that if you participated in the survey that votes in this year’s winners and you are at the MOST Awards event, you could stand a chance to win substantial cash prizes. Even if you did not vote, you could win fun spot prizes from Black+Decker in a lucky draw. These include a top of the range microwave, a food processor, a cyclonic vacuum cleaner a smoothie maker and a sandwich maker, among others.
Sandra Gordon, CEO of Wag the Dog Publishers, originators of the MOST Awards, says that tickets for the event are selling nicely.
“We expect a sell out and I would urge people to hurry up and book so they won’t be disappointed. We have started the process of sifting through the nominees. There are going to be some surprises which will have people talking for quite some time. All in all it will be the biggest party of the year. At R350 a ticket with a mere R120 for under 21’s, it should not be missed”, she said.
