The Children’s Radio Foundation inspires, uplifts, and improves the lives of young people in Africa by giving them the skills and tools to make their voices heard. Using radio and other low-cost communication technologies, we build local capacity to create and sustain community-based youth media initiatives. The CRF works with international and local partners to create spaces for young people to ask questions, reflect, listen, and learn. Through radio broadcasts, young people speak about their concerns and reach out to their peers and the wider community. The CRF relies on a tried and tested training curriculum and a series of participatory workshops with young people that build confidence, develop communication skills, and encourage critical thinking and global awareness.
