Simon Chadwick & Sarah Zipp

Sarah Zipp is a researcher and lecturer in sport studies and management. Her work is focused on socio-cultural aspects of sport, including sport for social change, gender equality, globalisation, health and issues of social justice. Dr. Zipp has taught at universities in the U.S., Netherlands and U.K.

She earned her Ph.D. in Deveopment Studies at the International Instutite for Social Studies at Erasmus University in the Netherlands. She has also studied sport management (M.Sc.) and anthropology/archaeology (B.A.) in the United States, her home country. She competed in basketball and athletics at Washington and Lee University (Virginia, U.S.)

Simon Chadwick’s research and teaching interests lie in the areas of sponsorship, sport marketing and commercial strategy in sport, which means that his work covers a diverse range of subjects including football, motor racing, rugby, athlete endorsements, sports branding, fan behaviour, the Olympic Games, the Indian Premier League and Grand Slam tennis tournaments

Simon was the founding editor of ‘Sport, Business and Management: An International Journal’ and is a former editor of the ‘International Journal of Sports Marketing and Sponsorship’.
