Brandyourcar.com has created an innovative out of home opportunity for global information and communications technology solutions provider Huawei, to reach its target market during a three month moving media campaign in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban.
The campaign, activated by Unlimited’s mobile advertising experts, is creating brand awareness and attracting 16 to 35 year olds in the LSM 6 – 10 categories to use the new IDEOS Slim S7 smart phone tablet powered by Android 2.2 technology. Huawei is branding a fleet of 40 privately owned vehicles and is hitting the streets until the end of February 2012.
The drivers selected to carry the campaign frequent malls on the weekends, work at business hubs or regularly frequent schools and tertiary institutions, ensuring penetration of the desired target market.
“This campaign acts as a great double edged sword for Huawei because the vehicles allow the product to be exposed to a high number of consumers and we have the powerful advantage of consumer-to-consumer marketing,” says Jeff Ostrom from Brandyourcar.com.
