George and Mossel Bay have a new local newspaper, as of this month. Eden Express, a local newspaper represented by Ads24, was launched with free door-to-door distribution, and a print run of 38 500 copies every Wednesday, with 22 000 being distributed in George and 16 500 being distributed in Mossel Bay.
“Aligning with the requirements of our readerships, the newspaper is published in English and Afrikaans and targets the LSM 6 – 10 market segments,” says Evan Smith, Ads24’s Business Manager: Communities.
News specific to these areas, editorial content includes:
- Community news;
- Sport club news/results;
- School news;
- Entertainment page with Sudoku and crossword puzzles; and
- Cooking/recipe page.
Smith said the newspaper will also give national advertisers a new opportunity for exposure in the region. “A one-stop shop, national advertisers are now fully accommodated within the Eastern Cape and almost completely in the Western Cape via one point of contact – Ads24.”
