The World Public Relations Forum, organised by Dircom, in partnership with Global Alliance, from 21 – 23 September 2014 in Madrid, has posted the programme on its website, showing the main topics for discussion during plenary and parallel sessions, which revolve around the conference theme of ‘Communication with conscience’.
The Convention Centre, Palacio Municipal de Congresos, will host the 8th World Public Relations Forum which will debate the future of public relations and communications. The Forum, which promises to be the largest international gathering of communication professionals, will focus on four key topics:
• Deconstructing communication
• Transforming communication
• Leading through communication
• Taking action through communication with conscience.
It will kick off by reviewing the changes that the profession needs to implement in order to introduce a new communication approach in organisations, based on character and values, the culture of listening and understanding responsibility. Deconstructing communication involves analysing organisations inside out and vice versa, seeking to humanise the process and working towards communication to create a better world.
Over the two days, delegates will have the opportunity to gain intercultural insights and take part in debates with professionals from all over the world. Over 1,000 experts from the communication industry from many different countries are expected to attend. It is the first time ever that the conference will be hosted in a Spanish-speaking country and the Honorary Committee will be presided over by HRH, The Prince of Asturias.
