The excitement is building for the sixth annual MOST Awards in September. The SABC have signed on, showing their commitment to celebrating excellence in service delivery in the media owner and media agency sector.
The SABC’s contribution will make great headway in Wag the Dog’s pursuit to improve the MOST Awards each year. The event itself has grown exponentially each year, and this year promises to be spectacular.
“The global media landscape is developing at a rapid pace and keeping abreast of all the changes and service requirements is critical to the sustainability of our media industry in South Africa. Being a part of this event not only helps with insight and to benchmark what current trends are, but also gives us a vantage point of our key focus areas. The SABC is proud to be investing in the future and sustainability of South Africa’s media industry,” said Wanele Mngomezulu, SABC GM Business Intelligence Commercial Enterprises.
The focus of the MOST Awards is to enhance the relationship between sales and marketing teams within media owners and media agency personnel. Better service, communication and delivery levels rub off on brand owners who apportion a large chunk of their marketing budgets to advertising in the media. A professional and flourishing media is vital in South Africa.
“As a powerful national media platform, I’m very pleased that the SABC has committed themselves to the MOST Awards. Sponsorship commitments indicate the importance that media owners and agencies place on excellence in service delivery and efficacy of these communications. The MOST Awards are transparent and measured, for the industry and by the industry. I thank all our sponsors for giving back to our sector,” said Sandra Gordon, founder of the MOST Awards and CEO of Wag the Dog Publishers.
This year’s event with a retro-box office theme will have media professionals flocking to the Linder Auditorium to discover the latest and greatest in the media industry. Rising Stars and Legends and the major winners will be gifted with celebratory bottles of bubbly compliments of Times Media Group.
