The annual Easter holiday is fast approaching, and once again – with school holidays on and a four-day long weekend looming – there will be thousands of people on the roads, all across the country.
brandhouse is calling on South Africa’s media to actively encourage responsible drinking by reporting on both misuse and responsible use of alcohol.
Published stories and programmes highlighting the role of alcohol in society (both positive and negative) can be entered for annual Responsible Drinking Media Awards (RDMA), which are currently open for entries.
Through the RDMA initiative, brandhouse believes that journalists can make a difference by developing editorial pieces that support the responsible use of alcohol.
The culmination of the festive season is a particularly pertinent time to encourage South Africans to make responsible choices when choosing to consume alcohol this Easter.
Journalists are reminded that their published articles, features or programmes highlighting responsible drinking will be eligible for entry into the Responsible Drinking Media Awards (RDMA) for 2015.
The RDMA is an annual brandhouse initiative which recognises journalists for their active role in promoting responsible drinking among South African consumers. Click here for more information on the RDMA 2015.
