Jacaranda FM has announced that presenter Rian Van Heerden has returned to the station as host of the Afternoon Drive Show, every weekday between 16h00 and 19h00, starting Monday 31 July 2017.
Speaking on the appointment, station general manager Kevin Fine says, “It’s wonderful to welcome Rian back. Having award-winning hosts on the morning and drive time shows really completes our day-time line-up and with hours of music in between makes the station a great proposition for listeners and advertisers.”
Acclaimed winner at the South African Liberty Radio Awards this year, Rian says, “I am so happy to be back on-air with Jacaranda FM. Radio is in my blood and I discovered that I love the Jacaranda FM listeners way too much to just walk away. I tried, but I can’t leave radio because it is my home!”
Program manager Gavin Meiring explained, “July has been an exciting month for Jacaranda FM. First we launched our brand new breakfast show starring Martin Bester and Tumi Morake where listeners can expect a full serving of comedy, caring and big guests. Now, we welcome back Rian Van Heerden in the afternoon which will deliver on the More Music You Love proposition and will also feature his outspoken views and interesting take on news. The combination promises to make Jacaranda FM the first choice for drive-time listening in Gauteng”.
