At a lively Imbizo function held last week by Initiative Media, CEO Marc Taback asked Sandra Gordon, CEO of Wag the Dog Publishers, to talk about the upcoming Most Awards which rank and recognise the excellence of both media owners and media agencies. He encouraged media owners, agencies and clients to take part in the survey and vote for their heroes in the media industry. “I really urge everyone to vote before the voting closes on Tuesday 30th July”, said Taback.
The MOST Awards, founded by Gordon, grow year-on-year with over 600 media owners, media planners, strategists and clients participating in the innovative research survey. Wag the Dog Publishers and Freshly Ground Insights (FGI), research partners of The MOST Awards, hold consultations with all stakeholders to ensure survey questions remain relevant and the process credible and transparent. The results are audited by external auditors
One of the award categories is the Lamb Award, sponsored by Initiative Media given to a smaller media owner that may miss the minimum required number of research votes, (30,) but nevertheless excels at service delivery and innovation. “When I first suggested to Marc that he sponsor the Lamb Award, he loved the idea of this category as it really rewards great service”, she said.
Gordon said the MOST Awards will be presented at a gala event at the Linder Auditorium on 9 September.” Last year 700 people attended the presentation and this year Wag the Dog Publishers are expecting 1000 guests. So two things are crucial. Get online and vote, and make sure you book to attend the event so you will not be disappointed”, she said.
