Today’s youth is liberated but needs to fight for a different cause while they are bombarded from all sides with problems like academic pressure, absent parents, pornography, drugs and many more.
In the struggle to find their own identity they sometimes get lost. This fact led the Pulpit Media Group to develop the I Am Youth Movement. It is I Am’s vision to establish a new and unique youth web radio and movement, so attractive that it will not be relevant to Christians only, but also to non-believers. This makes the I Am Youth Movement a force to be reckoned with.
The Pulpit Media Group’s Youth Movement presents a current and real moral alternative to the leaders of tomorrow. I Am not only reaches out to young people via the I Am Youth Web Radio, but also via school visits and daily youth devotions.
Another service, delivered by I Am, is youth counselling. Counselling is done by trained counsellors via WhatsApp,Blackberry Messenger,SMS, Facebook, Twitter, e-mail and phone calls. These electronic mediums enable I Am to counsel youth while they remain anonymous; believing that this will allow them to express themselves freely and without the fear of judgement
“We believe with the I Am Youth Movement we explain life to the youth who struggles to find identity. How you live your life defines who you are. In John 10:10 Jesus said He came to give us life. If we can lead the youth to Christ, they will experience LIFE EXPLAINED, which is also our slogan,” Vusi Leeuw (I Am Youth Web Radio presenter) said.
Schools are welcome to invite the I Am Youth Movement to visit them. I Am equips and mobilises the youth with Kingdom based values and principles. This is being done by I Am Web Radio presenters and I Am Youth Movement members who speaks to the youth in “their own language”, reaching their hearts with creative and relevant ministry.
