e.tv has retained its title as the number one Broadcasting, Media and Entertainment brand at the 2014 Top Companies Reputation Index awards held on Friday in Johannesburg.
The free-to-air channel was judged to be the best among seven companies in its category. These include MultiChoice, SABC and Media24 among others. The Top Companies index research awards are organised by the Mail & Guardian with research conducted by Plus 24Research Company.
“It is a humbling honour to witness how South Africans appreciate the essence of our brand. It’s our vision to remain the entertainment destination of choice. This also shows that we have not only stayed relevant, but have over the past 16 years left an indelible mark in the broadcasting industry. We are now a multi-channel business and it is encouraging to be recognised in this manner. Companies were selected from the Nielsen list of top advertisers; trained researchers covered the whole country to ask the public open ended questions about the various brands.
